​​We're incredibly proud to share this recognition for our caregiver Attallah L., as observed by Karen M., RN, during a recent supervisory visit:
"I wanted to recognize this caregiver for demonstrating care and compassion beyond her duties. When client Martha N.'s air conditioning was out for several days, and she was struggling with the heat (being oxygen dependent), Attallah reached out to family members and went to their storage unit to get a window AC unit until the landlord could fix the broken unit.

At her second client's home, M. Joyner (a bilateral amputee living alone), the client was facing eviction due to a tree that died in a storm and needed removal. The client couldn't afford to hire anyone and obviously couldn't do the work physically. Again, Attallah reached out to family who came out to help remove the dead tree.

Just WOW. Way to go above and beyond when she didn't have to. Attallah is consistent, kind, and compassionate. It's always a pleasure interacting with this caregiver."

We are incredibly proud to recognize our caregiver, Belkys Brito Santos, for her HEROIC actions that saved lives!

On 12/17/25, when a kitchen fire broke out at her client's home, Belkys didn't hesitate. She immediately pulled her client to safety through the bedroom window as flames engulfed the kitchen.

Thanks to Belkys's quick thinking and brave actions:
✅ Her client, the client's daughter, and 2 children all escaped safely
✅ EMTs and a hospice nurse confirmed the client was stable
✅ Belkys stayed with her client until the family arrived

Our Clinical Manager, Damaris Santiago-Martinez, RN, said it best: "Belkys saved her client's life." This is what TRUE dedication looks like. Belkys embodies the heart and courage that make Etairos Health caregivers extraordinary.
